Measures for the employee against aggression and violence

Before you begin

• Check whether the work order states that there is an increased risk of aggression.
• Estimate the probability of aggressive behaviour or violence.

During the work

• Stick to the code of conduct.
• Listen to complaints.
• Explain any procedures.
• Apply the rules from the ‘Aggression and violence' training if attended.

In case of emergency

• Suspend the work activities.
• Report the incident immediately to your supervisor.
• If there may have been a punishable offence, notify the police.
• Discuss the incident, if necessary with a confidential advisor.
• If you have suffered personal injury, seek legal advice if you wish to seek redress from the perpetrator.
