Before you begin
- Only use bottles and accompanying accessories (including the main pressure regulator) which are approved. The bottles must carry a valid quality mark and must be designated for propane or butane. Attention! Next to the quality mark (circle containing 2 figures) the last test date (year and month is shown (in the photo: 2008/12). The year for re-testing is shown as the date (in the photo: 2023).
- Check:
- that the hose is not damaged,
- that it is secured with the hose clamp,
- that it is as short as possible.
- With portable bottles, the hose may not be longer than 2 meters.
- Place gas bottles upright in company vehicles and secure them. Ensure that the ventilation openings in the floor are not covered.
- Only use bottles with a pressure regulator or an outflow limiter.
- Check that the root of the pressure regulator or outflow limiter fits properly on the screw thread and that the packing is undamaged.
- Check that portable bottles have a foot piece and / or a hook for hanging up the bottle.
