Measures for the employee against exposure to resins

Before you begin

• First read the label and/or the safety information sheet on resins and hardeners, including what you must do in case of emergency. 
• Ensure that the packaging cannot leak.

During the work

• Ensure adequate ventilation.
• Wear the required personal protective equipment:
  • Gloves
  • Eye protection
  • Industrial clothing
• Mix substances only according to the supplier’s instructions.
• Never eat, drink or smoke whilst working with hazardous substances. 
• Take off your industrial clothing and wash your hands before you eat, drink or go to the toilet. 

When the work is finished

• Dispose of opened unmixed packaging as hazardous waste.
• Dispose of mixed non-hardened 2 component resins as hazardous waste.

In case of emergency

• If the resin comes into contact with the skin wash it immediately with plenty of water and soap.
• If the resin comes into contact with the eyes, rinse it immediately with plenty of water. Take the label and/or safety information sheet to the (ophthalmologist) doctor.
