Measures for the organisation against health complaints due to indoor climates

• Ensure that the temperature is between 20 and 24 degrees in winter and between 23 and 26 degrees in summer. This is the most comfortable temperature range.
• Ensure that the relative atmospheric humidity is between 35 and 70%. 
• If natural ventilation is not possible, then ensure good mechanical ventilation  The threshold value for good quality indoor air is maximum 1000 ppm CO2 and the target value is 800 ppm. The air circulation minimum in office environments  is 3.6 m3/hour/m2. In order to avoid complaints in the winter air speed must be maximum 0.15 metres / second and in the summer a maximum of 0.25 metres per second.
• Ensure that sunlight can be screened, preferable with external sun blinds.
• Create air conditioning zones to protect from sources of pollution. Position copying machines and printers outside the work spaces, possibly with extraction equipment.
• Ensure that the ventilation systems are maintained according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Look after plants properly and throw withered plants and flowers away.
• If there is air conditioning, check regularly that it still fulfils the basic requirements. 
• If there is air conditioning, check after renovation that it still fulfils the basic requirements.
