Measures for the organisation against slipping and tripping

• Provide and execute a maintenance program for lighting, paving, stairs.
• Regularly check accessibility. 
• Provide lighting which works properly and ensures all floors are equally lit.
• On the stairways ensure where possible that there are rails, anti-slip surfaces on the stairs, good visibility and anti-slip strips on the edge of the stairs. 
• If cleaning has to take place, ensure that cleaning methods and materials are suitable for the surface to be treated.
• Ensure that your employees use footwear which is suitable for their working  environment. Take account here the type of work, the floor surface, the floor characteristics and the anti-slip properties of the soles.
• Ensure that the floor surface at every location is adapted to the work activities to be executed (for example that the floors are resistant to oils and chemicals which are used in the production processes).
• Provide adequate materials for employees to mark out floor openings and slippery surfaces.
