Risk: Exposure to clean SF6

Description: Suffocation due to too high a concentration of SF6. In addition there is a risk of freezing when using the gas from a storage cylinder. 
At temperatures higher than 150°C  SF6 breaks down, releasing extremely toxic substances. For a description of these risks see ‘Exposure to contaminated SF6’.
