Risk: Exposure to hazardous substances through burnt plastic sockets

Description: When connecting into a socket, depending on the moulding compound or other heat shrink or cold shrink plastics which are used, toxic gases can be released.  Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) and carbon monoxide (CO) carry the greatest risk.
